Dr. Vande Stouwe is an Allergy and Asthma Specialist. He is board certified in Allergy and Clinical Immunology and Internal Medicine. He received his M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York and his Ph.D. from Columbia University in New York. He conducted his doctoral research in Immunology as a Guest Investigator at The Rockefeller University in New York.
He completed a three-year internship and residency in Internal Medicine at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, specializing in the care of adult patients, and a two-year adult and pediatric Allergy and Clinical Immunology fellowship at The R. A. Cooke Institute of Allergy at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York.
Following his fellowship he was Assistant Professor of Immunology and Associate Physician at The Rockefeller University in New York. After moving to South Carolina he was named Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine and Director of the Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
His training and experience have prepared him for the care of adults and children with all types of allergy, asthma and immunologic problems. He is married with two children.
